We are seeking to appoint an exceptional leader as Chief Executive Officer of one of the most successful multi-academy trusts in the country.

The Multi-Academy Trust is a family of eighteen Church of England academies across the Diocese of Coventry, covering Coventry and Warwickshire.  We have grown quickly and successfully since our formation in 2013 – we currently have seventeen primary schools and one secondary school.  We are part of the larger Diocesan Board of Education which has 75 Church of England schools within Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

The Core Mission of the Diocese of Coventry Multi Academy Trust is to build a better future for all within our Academies who in turn will positively impact their communities; Together, pursuing ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10).  Our academies are recognised for their distinctive and inclusive Christian ethos and for the impact that this has on raising educational standards. Each of our academies demonstrates their Christian distinctiveness by providing an inspirational and holistic education which enables all children and staff to develop and achieve to their full potential.   We are a Trust that creates an effective climate for learning, sets standards of excellence in teaching and learning, offers a curriculum and learning environment relevant to our learners, and builds strong partnerships with parents and our community.

The new Chief Executive Officer, working with the Board, executive team and school leaders, will build a strategy that focuses on the future of the Trust following a period of successful expansion.  There is potential to grow the Trust further; however, it is essential that the Trust is equipped to support any growth, improve school performance, enable strong corporate governance and maintain the identity of the Trust’s ethos.

You will bring leadership excellence, with the skills to shape and influence the pattern of Church school education within the Trust and across the Diocese.  An empathy with the values of the Trust is critical: and, as a practising Christian, you will be supportive of the Trust and Diocesan Board of Education.   

We are in a robust financial position and our School Leaders are highly performing.  We are looking for an individual with integrity, charisma, creativity and drive who can grasp this opportunity to make a real and tangible difference to young people’s lives built around the values of the Christian faith.
